She then got her first mainstream popular movie in the form of Desi Boyz,  directed by Rohit Dhawan. In the wake of Delhi gang rape, Chitrangada Singh agreed that the city is really unsafe for Delhi. The woman studied and grew up in Delhi. She says reminiscing her college days, , “I’ve suffered my share of sexual harassment, which I think every girl in DU (Delhi University) has experienced. It’s horrible. You can’t get into a DTC (Delhi Transport Corporation) bus. I can understand what she (the victim) has gone through. “there is a power struggle between men and women. It has something to do with a thousand years of conditioning,”  actress does think that though there is sexual harassment in Bollywood, it is not to a larger extent. “It is everywhere and the industry is no exception. However, I think it is comparatively lesser here than at other places. Nowadays for actresses, there is a lot of work available so you can decide who you want to work with. “ Singh who created her official Twitter account rather late said, “In the past, there have been issues when fake accounts posted reactions using my name. When this (the rape incident) happened, I felt strongly about it, so I thought that I should join now,”  who used Chitrangada Singh fake Twitter account tweeted, How do you compete with Poonam Pandey, when she is ready strip for kabbadi matches?"
